How to approach the course

Each session on this course is designed to be a self-contained learning tool, which may be used in self-study or as a teaching tool in a taught course. It is recommended that each session is completed in one sitting. While the amount of time to complete each session will vary depending on the length and complexity of the session and your personal learning speed, it is recommended that you schedule half a day to complete the session and associated readings.

To begin a session, return to the home page. This can be done by clicking the home button in the top right hand corner of this page. From the home page you can navigate between sessions by clicking on the relevant session button on the left hand menu. It is highly recommended you work through the sessions in order.

When you open the session you will see an introduction page, which outlines the learning outcomes for the session. While it is recommended you work through the session in order, it is possible to move between different sections of the session using the menu on the right hand side of the page. At the end of each session you will find a bibliography which includes the references used in the session, as well as further material you may wish to consult out of interest or for a deeper understanding of the topic covered within the session.
