Note: You need to follow some rules for this exercise: there should be no drastic kinks in the plotted nqx function – the basic shape should be maintained; risks can slow in old age but cannot actually start to decline; at no time can nqx risks exceed 1 (e.g. by entering a factor of >2.5 for ages 55-80 – try it). These rules mean that factors need to act as a suite – making large changes in one factor only will break rule 1 and produce an unrealistic pattern of mortality.
